sweet grins

My sister, brother-in-law and niece came to visit us a few weekends ago. From my pictures you would never even know Katy and Cody were here! Hopefully I'll be better about getting some pictures of all of us next time!

Here's some pictures of my precious niece! She was 9 1/2 weeks then. She's started to smile a bit when you make faces at her and I took full advantage of that. :)

We went to the A&M softball game and Brooklynn learned how to play. ;)

We were at Target and I just wanted her pic with the sunglasses but I didn't want to buy them. She did not tolerate that very long!

Oh how I love baby mohawks!

Cutest little Aggie ever!!!

our weekend in austin

The A&M Softball team played Texas in Austin this past weekend, so Chris and I decided to make a weekend of it!

We watched some softball...

Went to IKEA!!

Got some fun goodies there

Can you tell which scrubber I've had for much too long?? I loove the IKEA scrubbers!
I also got some storage buckets for our office.

Then we spent some time at the Outlets in Round Rock. I found some jeans that fit me! Haha, I know that sounds so silly, but being 5'10" has its challenges! Thank you Banana Republic Outlet!

Saturday night we spent some time at the Red Poppy Festival and listened to Cody Morrow play.

Sunday was Chris' 30th birthday!! We celebrated at our favorite mexican food restaurant, Posados. We don't have a Posados in College Station, so it was a nice treat.
(anyone else love butter in your hot sauce??)

The Sunday game wasn't until 5pm, so we had a few hours to kill. We ended up just parking in a parking garage near campus and hanging out/napping/playing on our phones.
You can see I got some sun!

It was a great relaxing weekend! Happy Birthday to my sweet husband! :)

easter weekend {2012}

Chris and I spent Easter weekend at my parents house. We really had a great few days away and it was nice to see my family!

My parents' house. I lived here from 6th grade until I graduated high school. So many precious memories here!

I had a rush Etsy order that I had to bring with me to work on. I had a very inquisitive helper!

We spent a couple hours Saturday afternoon serving lunch to the homeless

Sweet baby girl Brooklynn! I had taken a lot of pictures of her already, so maybe this one was telling me to stop??

Love those cheeks!

Soo much cuteness!!

They both "helped" make dinner. Addi was a much bigger help than Brooklynn!

our little Aggie neice :)

Scout looved roaming the pasture with my parents' dog, Bentley
He got into these stickers all weekend!

Chris got to try out my dad's zero-turn mower

pretty girls :)

Easter Sunday we went to church, ate Mexican food and then Chris and I had to drive back home early afternoon.

My proud parents with their grandaughter

Me & Chris, Becca (youngest sis), Katy (middle sister) and her husband, Cody

Ahhhh melt my heart!

But this is even better... husband, not helping the baby fever!!

my week in photos

Here's what was on my phone this week...

playing with my washi tape from pick your plum

spent a few days taking these every 6 hours. still have a little cough this week, but glad I'm feeling much better!

someone charted this about my patient at work. dooon't think that's really what they meant! haha
{since most of my patients are kids, we always document if the parents are involved in care...I'm assuming this nurse meant to say "mom and dad active in care" oops!}

we started this book in our married small group this week. first 2 chapters were great and I'm really looking forward to continue reading!

we had a special house guest this weekend!
this is Sage. we dog-sat for a friend this weekend. Isn't she so precious? she's full grown and so tiny!

wipes case I made with my silhouette!

Lots and lots of work has gone on in our master bathroom reno in the past few weeks! I'm hoping to do a post updating the status soon. We have some more work to go, but it's coming along!!

strike out slavery

Chris played in an epic 49 hour baseball game a few weekends ago! It was a long weekend, but they broke another world record. Most importantly, they raised $49,000 for Mercy Project!

Chris batted...
caught...
batted some more...
and batted again...
He played almost all the field positions (except pitcher)!

Scout hung out with me at the ballpark. :)

He didn't even mind the windy weather! (He looks like a little white lion!)

They played a few hours on, few hours off. This was Chris' 'bed' for those 49 hours.

They actually ended up playing 49 hours and 20 seconds.

So proud of him and all the players that played! So grateful for people who are willing to sweat, be exhausted, be sore, play baseball a ridiculously long time, etc to change a child slave's life in Ghana!
