What I'm Loving Wednesday

I'm linking up with Jamie today for What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I'm {loving} that the Ags are going to the Final Four!
Chris and I got to go to the elite 8 game in Dallas last night and WOW was it awesome. The American Airline Center was ELECTRIC and the Ags won!! They are going to the final four for the first time in school history. They'll play again on Sunday @ 6 in Indy.

I'm {loving} Borax!
Apparently this stuff has been around for AGES, but I just discovered it this week and I am so glad I did. I had some towels that I couldn't shake the faint mildew smell. So I put half a cup of Borax in the washer with them, and they smell wonderful again! On the back of the box there are a ton of different uses for it, so we'll see how many of them I try!

I'm {loving} Thin Mint ice cream!

I'm {loving} Scout!
In the past few weeks, if you offer Scout a treat, he goes crazy! He does a routine of all the things he knows he's gotten treats for in the past. Usually he'll jump really high, sit, lay down, roll over (sometimes twice), jump again and does the whole routine over and over until you give him the treat. It's very entertaining to us. :) So now we just say he's dancing. This is an example of what we sometimes get....

I'm {loving} my wonderful husband!
I am so very blessed to have Chris as my husband. He encourages me, compliments me and loves me. We make a great team! :)

Mr. & Mrs. Scott Keeley

Chris' sister (my sister in law, SIL) got married this weekend!!
She is now Becky Keeley, or Mrs. Scott Keeley. I was honored for Becky to ask me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding. The ceremony was beautiful and Becky was a gorgeous bride!

Chris' mom was taken to the ER on Thursday night with stroke-like symptoms. She had to be admitted and was still in the hospital whe
n we came in on Friday morning. Sadly, she had to miss the rehearsal dinner on Friday night. But the doctors finally let her out on Saturday morning in time to get ready with the rest of the girls! They didn't figure out what was causing the symptoms. They did some blood work that will take about a week to get back, so maybe they'll have some answers when those results are in. I'm so glad that she was able to be a part of the Saturday festivities and I know she was too!!

When we got in on Friday, we spent some time at the hospital with Chris' parents. Then Chris spent a few hours playing paintball with the guys and I got to spend time with and love on my nephews.

Here is Kaden playing at McDonalds.
And Kai...doing what he did best while I hung with them. Eating! He is 13months and stinkin cute!

On Saturday it was an abnormally slow paced day. It was a great change for how most wedding days are that I've been a part of usually are.

Here are some wedding pictures from my dad's camera.
Me and Eric, the groom's brother.

The Shepperd kids + spouses.
The immediate Shepperd family.
The extended Shepperd family.
The Keeley family.Becky and Jenn at the reception.Me and my wonderful husband :D He got to be an usher.

He's so great.
Oh I love this boy! Kaden is 3 yrs old and such a hoot. He was in a smily, happy mood almost the entire time we were around him this weekend. Age 3-6 are my favorite ages in kids! He denied he had any punch to drink, but his red mustache makes me think he was lying. ;)

These are our silly faces.

Here is the sign I made them.

hallway makeover

A few weeks ago Chris and I decided we were ready for our front hallway to have some character and color!

We took a trip to Kirkland's and were pleasantly surprised at what we found for a decent price. This canvas we decided to put on the wall in the living room.

This is in the entry way right when you walk in on the right wall. The mirror is from Target and my grandma gave us the table.

This collection is on the left wall when you walk in and down the hall. All from Kirkland's. (bottom one is a mirror)

I love what we found to dress up the walls! :D

trip to tyler

This week is Chris' spring break, so we took an overnight trip up to Tyler. It was a nice little break and good to see some people we miss!

I know I've mentioned a little on how much Scout loves his momma. But here are some pictures to further prove this. Chris laid down all th
e seats in the back of our Pilot and laid down and watched a movie on the way there and back. Scout insisted on being IN MY LAP. Even though I was driving. I DO know how to say no, but he wasn't really bothering me (until my butt fell asleep!) so he slept in my lap the whole way there and part of the way back.

And Chris' back seat...
Now Scout changed postions and PASSED OUT. He was sleeping hard!

We went to bible study at Ellen's house on Tuesday night and on Wednesday I went and had lunch with Mary Claire at school while Chris was saying hi and taking care of a few things at TJC. I hadn't seen MC in about 15 months and wow had she grown! Here's a picture of her from Aug '07. She's be 7 next month. Wow how time flies!

She made me this surprise. :) Makes my heart smile.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I'm linking up with Jamie today for What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I'm {loving} spring break!

I'm only working 2 days this week and Chris is off of school all week. He's still very busy, but one less thing he has to do helps a ton. And we get to spend more time together!
(SIDE NOTE: I do NOT recommend googling images for Spring Break. Bad idea.)

I'm {loving} the new Passion CD!

I'm {loving} Mary Beth Chapman's book Choosing to See!

This is a wonderful book that will have you laughing and crying. I thought it would be really sad and all about how she has coped with their daughter's death, but it wasn't. (only about half of it is! hehe) It's just like the subtitle says, a journey of struggle and HOPE. And beware, if you've ever thought about adoption, this book will stir that seed!

I'm {loving} my library card!
Because I have a library card, I can check out books like Choosing to See! Next on my list is So Long, Insecurity by Beth Moore. I had it checked out, but it was due before I had a chance to read it.
This is NOT what my library card looks like, by the way!

I'm {loving} pandora!

I recently rediscovered it and turned on while working on some stuff this past week.
Jack Johnson Radio has to be my favorite for a chill day.

I'm {loving} this guy!

don't ring doorbell

Here's my newest project.
Since I work nights, I have often been woken up by the doorbell ringing while I'm sleeping. A few months ago, I was expecting a package and put a note out to not ring the doorbell and it stayed out there until now. It's been great and allowed me to stay asleep many times!
This sign replaced my handwritten post-it note.

I got the board from Hobby Lobby. I painted it and then used my Silhouette to cut the words.

Side note: I recently got some vinyl from Expressions Vinyl and it is GREAT quality. I cut the "thank you" with my Silhouette branded vinyl and it wouldn't come off the sheet right when I cut that small. I stuck the EV vinyl in there and it cut BEAUTIFULLY!

adding a little color to our lives

This weekend Chris and I gave our flower bed a makeover. The weather was SO gorgeous and strangely cooler temperatures today.

This is what it looked like this time last year before we bought the house.

This is what it looks like today!
We planted Azaleas on the back row and the rest of the flowers are African Daisies.

It took me about three times longer to do ONE plant than it took Chris. No one will be knocking down our door to get me to landscape their yard, that's for sure!
My favorite, Gerbera.

I so wish I would have gotten a picture of Scout. He laid outside while we worked and several times we caught him rolling around in the fresh soil and then the newly laid mulch. The BLACK dyed mulch. Reminder: our dog is white. Well, our dog WAS white!
Good thing he's so cute or he would have been in a lot of trouble!
